Ilaiyaraaja, a renowned composer who has worked on more than 30 Kannada films, shared a video on social media before the event, speaking in Kannada and seeking blessings at the Chamundeshwari temple the following day. During his performance of beloved Kannada songs, he recalled his visit to Mysuru in 1974 for a private concert and mentioned his role in suggesting Dr Rajkumar to sing the song "Yaare Koogadali" in the film "Sampathige Savaal," which marked the beginning of the esteemed actor’s singing career in Kannada cinema.
